Our Process

Phase One:

Design Consultation

We’ll meet at the property to do an on-site walk-through to get a better understanding of your property and your expectations for the project. It is a time to get acquainted and share concerns and points of view.  During this meeting it’s helpful to share any inspirational photos you may have collected that suggest a vision for the project.  It’s also valuable for determining budgetary parameters for a successful implementation of the design.

Phase Two:

Letter of Agreement

Following the initial consultation, we prepare a detailed Letter of Agreement outlining the scope of work, each party’s responsibilities, anticipated design fees, and payment schedules. Upon signing the contract, we require a deposit based upon a percentage of the design fee before work commences.

Phase Three:

Design Phase

Per the “Scope of Work” documented, we develop a plan outlining the functionality of each space, while measuring and photographing the existing conditions.  From there we create any necessary construction and furniture layouts as we source potential furniture, fixtures, finishes and materials.  This phase can be as interactive as desired to ensure that our proposed design schemes are an authentic reflection of your style.

Phase Four:

Construction Documents & Bidding

Once you’ve approved the design plans, we develop comprehensive construction documents, supporting our detailed “Scope of Work,” which is used to obtain contractor quotes for the project.  We can recommend several potential contractors with whom we have relationships, but we’re happy to work with one of your choosing.

Phase Five:

Project Management:

Once construction is underway, we manage your project from start to finish. Our oversite includes regular site visits to monitor progress, establish quality control, keep the client up to date on project status, and be a liaison between the contractor and client.  Once any construction work is completed, we oversee installation of all furnishings and styling to create a final reveal for the client.
